As the season of gratitude arrives, we’re reminded of the incredible power of community. At The Atlantic, giving thanks isn’t just about words—it’s about action. Every volunteer hour, every donation, and every partnership reflects our commitment to making a difference where it matters most.
Honoring Community Partnerships
This year, we’ve had the privilege of working alongside remarkable organizations that strengthen the fabric of our neighborhoods. From helping to distribute coats to families during the cold winter months to assisting with fundraising events that fuel essential programs, these moments remind us that when we come together, we create lasting impact.
Our partners work tirelessly to ensure that no one is left behind, and we’re honored to stand with them in that mission. In fact, The Atlantic staff participated in over 15 volunteer events this year, each one reinforcing our shared commitment to service.
Supporting Nonprofits as a Fellow Not-for-Profit
As a credit union, we share a common purpose with nonprofits: to serve, not to profit. That’s why we’re proud to support charitable organizations through volunteer hours, donations, and financial solutions like our Advocate Checking account designed exclusively for 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(6) organizations.
This year, we were thrilled to award $50,000 in grant funding to nine local nonprofits through the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York Small Business Recovery Grant program. These organizations make a positive impact every day, and we’re proud to spotlight their incredible work in building stronger, more vibrant communities throughout Essex and Union counties. Celebrating Our Members
None of this would be possible without you—our Members. Your trust and support empower us to give back in meaningful ways, from funding scholarships for local students to lending a helping hand at community events.
Each year, we award three scholarships to local high school seniors who are Members of The Atlantic Federal Credit Union—an investment in the future leaders of our community. Meet the students here.
We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you for supporting this year’s book drive. Together, we collected hundreds of books that have been donated to the United Way of Greater Union County! Your generosity helps spread knowledge and joy to families across our region.
Looking Ahead
This season, we give thanks for the partnerships that inspire us, the nonprofits that uplift our neighbors, and the Members who keep us moving forward. Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected community—one act of kindness at a time. And as we look toward the new year, we’re excited to continue supporting local initiatives.
