Direct Deposit & Payroll Deduction
Payroll, Social Security, pension, refunds, stock dividends and expense reimbursements are all eligible for direct deposit.
Providing accurate information when setting up Direct Deposit and Payroll Deductions is important. Keep in mind savings account information will be formatted differently than checking account information. Below is additional information to assist you.
You will need:
- The Atlantic Federal Credit Union’s routing number: 221276370
- Your account number with The Atlantic Federal Credit Union (see details below)
- Specify where you want the funds deposited: Savings or Checking
Savings Account
When establishing Direct Deposit or Payroll Deduction for your savings account, you will need to provide your Member Number followed by the account suffix. You can locate your Member Number and account suffix in your new account paperwork or within Online Banking or the Mobile App.
In Online Banking, simply click the account from your home screen and then select "Account Information" to find your Member Number and account suffix in the "Account Number" field.
From the Mobile App, simply click the account from your home screen, then select the "Account Details" tab, and then click the eye icon next to the "Account number" field to reveal the Member Number and account suffix.
Do not include any leading zeros or dashes when establishing Direct Deposit or Payroll Deduction for your savings account. For example, a Member Number and account suffix of 00123456789-00 should be formatted as 12345678900.
Checking Account
When establishing Direct Deposit or Payroll Deduction for your checking account, you will need to use your MICR number. Your MICR number is a 14-digit number associated with your checking account that can be found at the bottom of your personal checks (the second set of numbers following our routing number), in your new account paperwork, in Online Banking or in the Mobile App.
In Online Banking, simply click the account from your home screen and then select "Account Information" to find your MICR number.
From the Mobile App, simply click the account from your home screen, then select the "Account Details" tab, and then click the eye icon next to the "Account number" field to reveal the MICR number.
For your convenience, download the Direct Deposit Authorization Form and submit it to your Human Resources department. If further information is required, feel free to contact us by clicking the button below.

Who is Eligible for Membership?
Membership is available to anyone who lives, works, worships, attends school or regularly does business in Union or Essex counties in New Jersey. Businesses and legal entities in Essex or Union counties are also eligible.
Immediate family members of existing members, including your spouse, children, siblings, parents, grandparents, grandchildren, stepchildren, stepparents, stepsiblings and adopted children, are also eligible for Membership. Non-related individuals living in the same household can also qualify.
